The VITA site at The Bible Chapel has provided free income tax preparation service for over 15 years. 

 

We typically prepare well over 1,000 Federal tax returns each year, as well as state income tax returns and Pennsylvania Property Tax Rebates.

Our primary focus is preparing tax returns for the elderly and low to moderate-income taxpayers.​ Our site reports directly to the IRS/VITA Program Office in Pittsburgh. We operate under the direction of the IRS and adhere to all of their standards, regulations and testing requirements. All volunteers go through a rigorous training program and must be certified to IRS standards before they are allowed to prepare tax returns. Our site is evaluated each year by the IRS, both in quantity and quality of tax returns.
